FAQ

Do you take formal group shots ?

My style of photography doesn't completely rule out the option to have group shots, and I also understand why couples find them important. It's your wedding day, so how many you choose to have is up to you! But because of the time they take, I recommend having no more than 5 group photographs in total, and I'd also require you to fill out a group shot list prior to wedding.

How long are you at our wedding for?

10 hours, I usually from approximately 1-2 hours before the ceremony starts till around an hour after the first dance.

How many pictures will we receive?

Depending on the length of coverage you will receive anywhere between 500 - 700 carefully edited and skilfully retouched images.

How long until I receive my photos?

I aim to send the fully edited and retouched final images within 4 weeks of the wedding; during busy periods this may take a little longer, and during quiet periods it may be a bit quicker.

Are you insured?

Yes: I have full public liability insurance up to £250,000 and personal indemnity up to £125,000.

What equipment do you use? Do you have backups?

I use high end profesional Canon full frame cameras with fast L series prime lenses. These are exteremly sharp, give nice colour reproduction and good skin tones, and work well in low light situations.
I have 3 cameras and multiple lenses, flash, batteries and memory cards. I've yet to have anything fail - but if I did, there's no need to worry as I plenty of back-up gear!

Will you visit the venue before the wedding?

Yes: I always like to visit a venue I haven't shot before to scope out the best spots for couples portraits and group shots.

How far do you travel?

Travel within 50 miles of Oxford is free; longer distances can be made by negotiation.

How much deposit is required to secure our date?

£150 non-refundable deposit secures me as your photographer for the day. The full balance is payable 2 weeks before your wedding day.

How do we book you?

Quite simply, let me know you would like to book along with your full names & mobile number and I'll send over a digital contract for you to sign and payment link for £150 deposit. On receipt of this, I'm officially booked as your wedding day photographer.

Can we meet you before we book?

Absolutely! I love to meet couples before the wedding day so we can get to know each other and make sure we have everything we need to get the shots you want.

What happens if it rains?

Some of the best shots can happen when it rains! Don't worry: I can work in all kinds of weather conditions. The only limiting factor is that group shots will have to be taken indoors - meaning only small group shots may be possible, depending on the size of the venue.

Do you offer wedding albums?

You can buy and design wedding albums yourself from my online store once you have received your images.

Will I receive my photos in colour or black and white?

My standard approach to processing is to supply a full colour album with an additional 10% to 15% of images in black and white.
